Impressive win for Power Alert in the Turf Dash Stakes

Power Alert finished second in the Turf Dash last year, but this year he came back better, stronger, and faster winning with a speedy time of 55.25, 3 1/2 lengths ahead of Dale's Bennett's Incensed horse.

Brian Lynch trained the gelding and Daniel Centeno rode the winner.  Centeno got lucky today getting substituted for Albin Jimenez after his horse Bill's Passion got scratched.

Power Alert set the pace early and drew clear towards the end leaving Incensed no room to catch him.      Incensed made a late run towards the rail, and finished a 1/2 length ahead of Fast Flying Rumor the third place finisher. Fast Flying Rumor, the winner of last year's Turf Dash race was a favorite but fell short. He chased two wide and finished evenly by neck over One Lucky Step.

The total Win Place Show came to $265,419, and the charts are as follows:
