Tampa Bay Downs will have a carryover of $76,716 on
its Late Pick 5 on Sunday.
The Oldsmar track has a ten-race card with first post
of 12:25 p.m. The Late Pick 5 is on
races six through ten.
It will be Tampa Bay’s first Sunday of live racing in
its 2016-2017 meet.
There is a carryover because on Saturday there were no
tickets with all five winning horses in the Late Pick 5.
That resulted largely from 31-1 shot Cachaco winning the tenth and final
race.
Post time odds on the other winning horses in the
sequence were 6-1, 7-1, 19-1 and 4-5.
The 4-5 winner was Power Alert
in the $100,00 Turf Dash at five furlongs.
The carryover coming into Saturday was $18,402.
Bettors added $91,536 to the Late Pick 5.
Tampa Bay made a consolation payoff to the multiple
tickets that had four of five winners. It was $153.15 for the minimum 50 cent
bet. That left the carryover of $76,716.
All-sources handle on Tampa Bay’s ten Saturday races
was $5,296,090. That included live handle
of $269.091 from the crowd of 3,202.
The Late Pick 5 races on Sunday have a total of 48
entrants. There will be two allowance/optional
claimers, one claiming race, one maiden claimer and one maiden special weight.
