Saturday's Gulfstream Racing; 1:05 PM Post Time

 Gulfstream Park has an eleven-race card scheduled for Saturday. First post is at 1:05 PM.


The dirt track and turf track are listed as Fast and Firm respectively.

There are no stakes races on the card. The sixth through eleventh races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 3:49 PM.

The only carryover is on the Rainbow 6 at $10,672. Saturday is the second day of the carryover since the jackpot was hit on Thursday.

In Friday's racing action, 125 winners hit the Rainbow 6, each pocketing a miserly $199.38. Two favorites won in the Rainbow 6 races, and the odds of the winners were between 0.5:1 to 2.8:1, with the outlier being 5:1 in race 9.

Bettors added $44,484 to the wagering, with 40 horses running in the Rainbow 6.
 
Total all-sources track handle was $3.64 million.

Friday's Gulfstream Racing; 9 Races - 1:05 Post Time

 

Gulfstream Park will run nine races Friday, with a first post at 1:05 p.m.

No stakes races are planned as we approach the Kentucky Derby next weekend, May 7th.

 

On Thursday, a single winner collected on the Rainbow 6 wager, earning $182,098.62.

The carryover coming into Thursday was $130,033. Wagering was $65,091 on the Rainbow 6. After the tracks 20% takeout, that left $52,073 to add to the carryover for the pool size. That totals the $182,100 or so for the jackpot win.

Race 7 was the long-odds trip when Sara Mia (9:1) won by a neck in the 6 horse field. The favorite finished 3rd. One
favorite won in the Rainbow races. Program winner numbers were: 9-1/3/6-6-1-4-10.

This was just day 6 on the racing days since the last Rainbow Jackpot on April 16th. The Carryover is reset to zero Friday, but Gulfstream is guaranteed at least $50,000 gross pool for Friday's wagering.

All sources track handle was $3.32 million Thursday, the lowest tally this meet thus far that started April 7th.

Gulfstream's Race Week; Thursday Post Time 1:05 PM

 Gulfstream Park will start its 4 day race week Thursday, with an 8 race agenda, and a 1:05 PM first post time. Last post is about 4:50 PM at the Hallandale, Fla. race track.

No stakes races are planned.

In Sunday's racing action - the last live racing day - 78 starters competed for $343,000 in purse money in 10 races.

Bettors wagered $6.80 million in total handle from all-sources.

Four favorites won their races, three of them in the Rainbow 6 races (the last 6 races each day). The Rainbow 6 wager garnered $133,117 in bets, with a payout of $584.66 to each of 127 bettors.

Since no single winner emerged, the Rainbow 6 will have a carryover today of $130,033. 

Gulfstream is seeding the existing carryover with a $200,000 minimum guarantee gross (before takeout) pool for Thursday's Rainbow 6 wager.

Sunday's Gulfstream Racing; 1:05 Post Time

 

Gulfstream Park end it's four day racing week today, planning 10 races.

First post time is 1:05 PM.
No stakes races are planned on the Sunday card.

Two carryovers are on the card. The Rainbow 6 wager at $98,087. It will begin with race 5 at approximately 3:15 PM. The Super Hi-5 carryover is $7,480.20 in race 1 with the 1:05 PM post.

In Saturday's racing action, $133,058 was bet on the Rainbow 6, with  the payout of $7,609.40 to each of 10 winners. No one had 6 of 6, so that payout was for 5 of 6 correct finishers. Two winners at 15:1 odds was a tough hurdle to handicap!

Total handle from all wagering sources was $8.69 million.

Post time is 1:05 PM and last post is 6:32 PM.
There are no stakes races on the card.


The two carryovers are on the Rainbow 6 at $66,160 and the Super Hi 5 at $7,153. The 20 cents per-combination only bet is on races six to eleven with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:50 p.m. The Super Hi-5 wager will take place in race 1 if seven or more starters enter the gate.

Gulfstream has a $150,000 Gross Pool guarantee on the Rainbow 6 wager if a single winner exists today. In Friday's action, just 2 winners split the Rainbow 6 money at $20,715.06 each.
Eamonn, at 14:1, won in race 5, which was the long-shot winner of the day. That was a tough handicap in the 6 race sequence to get right. 46 horses ran in the Rainbow 6.

Rainbow 6 wagering was $73,984, and the total all-souces handle on the day was $5.04 million.

Friday: 9 Races at Gulfstream, 1:05 PM Post Time

 

Gulfstream Park will run nine races today, with a first post at 1:05 p.m.

The only carryover is on the Rainbow 6, at $48,404. The 20 cents per combination-only bet is on races four to nine, with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:43 p.m. Fifty horses are listed as starters in the 6 races, barring scratches later today.

The Weather Channel forecast is a 15 percent odds of rain during racing hours. A wind advisory of 20 mph also is forecast.

On Thursday, 6 winners collected $5,604.38 each on this wager. Race 4 was the long-odds trip when Morning Colors (11:1) took the win. The favorite finished 5th. Two favorites won in the Rainbow races. Program winner posts were: 2-8-4-6-4/5-2/5.

Betting on the Rainbow 6 was $58,074, to be expected with the carryover 2 days old in this cycle.
All sources track handle was $3.94 million Thursday.

Thursday's Gulfstream Park; 1:05 PM Post Time

 

Gulfstream Park will have eight races on Thursday, with first post at 1:05 p.m, and continue the race week through Sunday.

The only carryover is on the Rainbow 6, at $34,473. The 20 cents per combination-only bet is on races three to eight, with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:11 p.m.

Gulfstream is guaranteeing that Thursday's Rainbow 6 will have a $50,000 gross pool of the entire coming in carryover plus all of today's  Rainbow 6 bets - to be paid if there is just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races.



If there are multiple tickets with all six winning horses,  Gulfstream will take out 20 percent. It will then divide 56 percent among tickets with six winners and add 24 percent to the carryover.

On the last race day, Sunday, there were 85 Rainbow 6 winners, paid $948.66 on the 20  cent bet. There were no 6 of 6 winners, so the payout rolled down to 5 of 6. Lavery in the 8th race won at 23:1; that no doubt was the knock-out punch to a 6 of 6 win day.

Betting on the Rainbow 6 was $143,679, while total all-sources handle was $9.15 million.

Tampa Bay Resumes Wednesday with 9 Races

After being dark for three straight days,  Tampa Bay Downs will resume live racing on  Wednesday with nine  races and first post at 12:40 p.m.

The Oldsmar. Fla., track did not have live racing on Sunday, in observance of Easter. Per its regular schedule, it was dark on Monday and Tuesday.

The only carryover on Wednesday is on the Pick 6 at $9,315. The 20 cents per- combination only bet will be on races four to  nine with the sequence set to start  at 2:14 p.m.

|Per its regular schedule, Tampa Bay wlll not have live racing this  Thursday. It will  then have live racing on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday's Gulfstream Racing; Two Carryovers

 

Gulfstream Park has an eleven-race card scheduled for Saturday under cloudy conditions with a 15% chance of rain during racing hours. Post time is 1:05 PM and last post is 6:32 PM.


 

There are no stakes races on the card.

The two carryovers are on the Rainbow 6 at $122,283 and the Super Hi 5 at $3,526. The 20 cents per-combination only bet is on races six to eleven with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:49 p.m. The Super Hi-5 wager is a $1.00 wager, and  will take place in race 1. Gulfstream has a $250,000 Gross Pool guarantee on the Rainbow 6 wager if a single winner exists today.

The Rainbow 6 carryover is 5 days old in the current Royal Palm Meet which runs through September.

Friday's racing saw 56 winners of the Rainbow 6, each pocketing $870.22. That wagering was $87,622, and the total all-souces handle on the day was $5.04 million. Good Luck !

Gulfstream's Good Friday Racing; Carryover

 Gulfstream Park will run nine races today, with a first post at 1:05 p.m.

The only carryover is on the Rainbow 6, at $101,259. The 20 cents per combination-only bet is on races four to nine, with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:43 p.m. One turf race is scheduled, Race 4; it's a one mile claiming race.



Rain has been falling on Friday morning at Gulfstream in Hallandale Beach, Fla. However as of   11:00 a.m. the dirt track and the All-Weather Tapeta track were  listed as  Fast and the turf  course was listed as Firm.

The Weather Channel forecast is for a chance of rain of  50 percent or higher during racing hours.

We will have updates on any changes in surface conditions.

On Thursday, 9 winners collected $4,319.46 each on this wager. Race 8 was the long-odds trip with a 9:1 winner. Just one favorite won in the Rainbow races. Interestingly, the prior Thursday (4/7) also saw race 8 with the long-shot winner at 9:1.


Betting on the Rainbow 6 was $69,433.  All sources track handle was $4.33 million.

Gulfstream will race Easter Sunday with a 1:05 PM Post Time. We'll report on the Saturday line-up tomorrow.

Gulfstream's Thursday Racing; 1:05 PM Post

Gulfstream Park will run 8 races on Thursday, with first post at 1:05 p.m. and last call to the gate at 4:51 p.m.

The only carryover is on the Rainbow 6, at $84,598. The 20 cents per combination-only bet is on races three to eight, with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:11 p.m.

On Sunday, the last live racing day, there were 14 Rainbow 6 winners, paid $4,337.26 on the 20-cent bet. The high-odds winner was in race 9 at 8.8:1, while two favorites won in the Rainbow 6 races.

This is day 5 for this Rainbow 6 series that started April 7th, also the opening of the Palmetto Meet, which is scheduled to run through the end of September.

Betting on the Rainbow 6 was $106,815 Sunday, while total all-sources handle was $7.24 million.

Gulfstream Park plans a 10 race program Sunday.

First post time is 1:05 PM.
No stakes races are planned on the Sunday card.

The sole carryover will be the Rainbow 6 wager at $58,965. It will begin with race 5 at approximately 3:15 PM.

In Saturday’s racing action, $115,835 was bet on the Rainbow 6, with  the payout of $1,029.74 to each of 63 winners.

Five favorites won on Saturday, two of them in the Rainbow 6 races. The long-odds winner was Fake ID in race 11, winning by 3-1/2 lenghts. The race favorite, Lee Ann’s Warrior (7:5), finished 9th in the 10 horse field.

Total handle from all wagering sources was $8.50 million.

Gulfstream: Fast and Firm for Saturday

Gulfstream Park has an eleven-race card scheduled for Saturday.


The dirt track and the all-weather Tapeta track are listed as Fast and the Turf course is listed as Firm. 
There are no stakes races on the card. The eighth through tenth are allowance/optional  claiming races.  The ninth has a $50,000 purse, and the other two have $51,000 purses.

The only carryover is on the Rainbow 6--at $31,184. The 20 cents per-combination only bet is on races six to eleven with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:44 p.m.

The carryover is two days-old, through the first two days of Gulfstream's championship meet which is officially known as the Royal  Palm Meet.

Friday Racing at Gulfstream Park 1:05 Post

 

Gulfstream Park opened its Summer racing meet Thursday, and today will run nine races, with a first post at 1:05 p.m.

The only carryover is on the Rainbow 6, at $16,510. The 20 cents per combination-only bet is on races four to nine, with the sequence scheduled to start at 3:13 p.m.

On Thursday, 40 winners collected $967.92 each on this wager. Race 8 was the long-odds trip with a 9:1 winner. Four favorites won in the Rainbow races. Racing will be reduced by one day this meet, Thursday through Sunday with a few exceptions around the holidays.

Betting on the Rainbow 6 was $68,811, which was expected as this was the first racing day of the new meet. All sources track handle was $5.03 million.
