Gulfstream Park has a 9-race card Sunday. First post is at 12:25 PM.

No stakes races are on the card. The 5th through 10th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 2:26 PM. The carryover there is $96,730. Gulfstream will guarantee a $150,000 gross pool Sunday if a single winner takes the Rainbow 6 wager.


In Saturday's 11 races, 7 bettors were paid $7,223.20 each on the Rainbow 6 win. Two favorites won in the Rainbow races 6-11, with Sea Art,  15:1 odds win in race 9. Interesting, no race-time favorite finished worse than 4th, so it would have been a decent day to play the favorites as an in-the-money wager; just two races did the favorite finish 4th.

Fifty horses ran in the last 6 races.

Total all-sources track handle was $6.63 million Saturday.
Saturday's purse size was $339,000.

Gulfstream Park has an 11-race card scheduled for Saturday. First post is near 12:25 PM. No stakes races are on the program.


The Rainbow 6 wager is the sole carryover Saturday, at $75,772.

The Rainbow 6 wager paid $1,219.80 in Friday’s racing action to 28 bettors.

Two favorites won in the Rainbow sequence, with the high-odds winner Full Disclosure (7:1) winning by a neck in race 5, while the favorite Mailbox Money finished 5th.

Race 6 will start the Rainbow 6 wagering near 3:00 PM Saturday.

Friday's Gulfsream Racing; Carryovers - Post 2:55 PM

 

Gulfstream plans a 9 race Friday, with a 2:55 PM post time.

No stakes races are on the card. Last post will be near 7:22 PM. This is day 67 of this meet that ends in late September, and day 5 of this carryover for the Rainbow 6 wager.

The Rainbow 6 carryover is $60,852.
The Super High 5 carryover is $6,615 in race 1.

The Rainbow 6 sequence / first leg gets underway in Race 4 at about 4:38 PM.

In last Sunday's racing action, 14 winners collected $2,178.14 each on the Rainbow.

No bettor had 6 of 6 in this wager, so it paid out on 5 of 6. Three long-odds winners foiled their plans: 24:1, 14:1, and 16:1 wins in the final 6 races were too much to overcome. The Late Pick 4 and Late Pick 5 paid HUGE to a few lucky bettors. Our data from Equibase shows 2 winners of the Pick 4 at $26,018, and 5 Pick 5 winners at $19,390. The program winners the last 6 races were: 11-6-1-3-7-1.

 A $125,000 guaranteed gross pool is offered by Gulfstream Friday if a single jackpot winner is found.

Just 3 post-time race favorites won on the day; one of them in the Rainbow 6 races.

Sunday's Gulfstream; 9 Races - Rainbow 6 Carryover

Gulfstream Park has a 9-race card Sunday. First post is at 12:25 PM.

No stakes races are on the card. The 4th through 9th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 1:52 PM. The carryover there is $47,783. Gulfstream will guarantee a $100,000 gross pool Sunday if a single winner takes the Rainbow 6 wager.

In Saturday's 12 races, 8 bettors were paid $6,013.43 each on the Rainbow 6 win. Four favorites won in the Rainbow races 7-12, with Action Warrior, a 65:1 odds win upsetting the applecart in race 7. Showgirl Lynn B won the Sharp Susan Stakes by one length. Gemma's Curls was scratched, as was Gratia, so that made it a 4 horse field.

 

Fifty-eight horses ran in the last 6 races.

Total all-sources track handle was $7.23 million Saturday, of which $85,932 was the Rainbow 6 wager.

Saturday Gulfstream Racing; 12:25 PM Post Time

 

Gulfstream Park has a 12-race card scheduled for Saturday. First post is near 12:25 PM. One stakes race will be run in race 4; The Sharp Susan Stakes, a field of 6, five and 1/2 furlongs on the all-weather-track and a $65,000 purse. 

It's a 2 year-old fillies race with  Gemma's Curls as the morning line favorite at 9:5. This stakes race will post at about 1:58 PM. All entries except #1 post Gratia have logged a win in the last race or next to last race; all at Gulfstream Park in May, June or July. Jellybean, at 5:2 odds could be a contender also.

 

The Rainbow 6 wager is the sole caryover Saturday, at $27,165. The Rainbow 6 wager paid $1,190.76 in Friday's racing action. As of 10:00 PM Friday eve., the Late Races Pool totals and daily track handle for Gulfstream was unavailable.

Race 7 will start the Rainbow 6 wagering near 3:37 PM Saturday.

Friday's Racing at Gulfstream Park; 2:55 PM First Post

 

Gulfstream plans a 9 race Friday, with a 2:55 PM post time.

No stakes races are on the card. Last post will be near 7:22 PM.

The Rainbow 6 carryover is $13,110. To recap the recent racing, the Rainbow 6 jackpot was paid out last Saturday (8/13) as a mandatory payout. Then Sunday's racing resulted in 9 winners for $3,484.16 each. After the 20% takeout, $13,110 is Friday's carryover. A $50,000 guaranteed gross pool is offered by Gulfstream Friday if a single jackpot winner is found.

The Rainbow 6 sequence / first leg gets underway in Race 4 at about 4:38 PM. Forty-four entrants ran in the Rainbow races.

Race 5 was the long-shot win Sunday at 15:1 when Bourbon Wisdom won by a neck over 3.3:1 One Eyed Jack. The favorite Chucky finished 6th in the eight horse field.

Three post-time race favorites won on the day; two of them in the Rainbow 6 races.

All sources track handle was $5.21 million Sunday.

Gulfstream Park has a 10-race card Sunday. First post is at 12:25 PM.

No stakes races are on the card. The 5th through 10th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 2:26 PM. The carryover there is $0 since the Jackpot was paid out Saturday as a mandatory measure. We posted our story Friday night without knowlege of the Rainbow 6 mandatory payout. We apologize. Gulfstream will guarantee a $50,000 gross pool Sunday if a single winner takes the Rainbow 6 wager. The Super High-5 wager has a $3,144 carryover (see graphic below).

In Saturday's 11 races, 18 bettors were paid $72,766.04 each on the Rainbow 6 win. Just one favorite won on the day in the Benny the Bull Stakes, race 10, when Pudding (9:5)  edged Gatsby by one length. Also, two race time favorites finished LAST in races 7 and 9. That's rarely seen, adding to the reason for the monster Rainbow 6 payout.



 

The late Pick 5 paid $4,918.

Fifty-two horses ran in the last 6 races.
Total all-sources track handle was $7.92 million Saturday, of which $1.24 million was the Rainbow 6 wager.

Saturday's Gulfstream Racing; 12:25 Post Time

 

Gulfstream Park has an eleven-race card scheduled for Saturday. First post is near 12:25 PM. One stakes race will be run in race 10; The Benny the Bull Stakes, a field of 8, seven furlongs on the dirt track and a $65,000 purse. Absolute Grit is the morning line favorite at 3:1.

The Rainbow 6 wager is the sole caryover Saturday, at $311,589. Friday's action saw 38 horses racing in the Rainbow 6, with a $331.68 payout to 120 winners. That's the smallest field of horses for the Rainbow 6 races since May 13th.

Midnight Bella won race 9 at 4.3:1 odds, the high-odds win on the day. Race 6 will start the Rainbow 6 wagering near 3:07 PM Saturday.

Bettors added $72,112 to the Rainbow wagering. 
Total all-sources track handle was $3.79 million Friday, the lowest daily handle since June 9th, when Gulfstream re-opened after Tropical Storm Alex closed the track for two racing days.

Friday's Gulfstream Racing; 2:55 PM Post Time

 

Gulfstream plans a 9 race Friday, with a 2:55 PM post time.

No stakes races are on the card. Last post will be near 7:22 PM.

The Rainbow 6 carryover is $294,283. Gulfstream is setting a guaranteed gross pool of $425,000 if a single winner is found. If multiple winners, the guaranteed pool does not apply, and the winners receive 56% of the betting pool; 20% is the track takeout, and 24% gets added to the carryover for the next race day.



The Rainbow 6 sequence / first leg gets underway in Race 4 at about 4:35 PM. In last Sunday's (8/7) racing, 16 winners hit the Rainbow 6 wager for $4,375.60 each. Forty-six entrants ran in the Rainbow races.

Race 4 was the long-shot win Sunday at 15:1. Awesome Pic won by 4-3/4 lengths. The favorite finished 7th the eight horse field.

Just one post-time race favorite won on the day; in race 6, while just 3 favorites made the Win-Place-Show "in the money" tote-board. The last Rainbow 6 jackpot was paid on July 8th. This is day 15 of this carryover wager.

All sources track handle was $4.80 million Sunday.

Gulfstream's Sunday Racing; Carryovers

 

Gulfstream Park has a 9-race card Sunday. First post is at 12:25 PM.

No stakes races are on the card. The 5th through 10th races are the Rainbow 6 races, starting at approximately 2:25 PM. The carryover there is $263,266. The Super Hi-5 Carryover is available also totalling $4,619  in the first race.

In Saturday's 11 races, 80 bettors were paid $714.96 each on the Rainbow 6 win. No favorites won in the Rainbow races - getting more common of late. Lynx won the Desert Vixen Stakes in race 6 for the filles, while Awesome Strong won the Colts and Geldings Dr. Fager stakes in race 10.  The late Pick 5 paid a handsome $15,042.15. The rainbow 6 paid on a 5 of 6 ticket. Hotline to Heaven won race 9 at 70:1, the main reason why.

Fifty-six horses ran in the last 6 races. 
Total all-sources track handle was $7.87 million Saturday.

The Rainbow 6 wager is the sole caryover Saturday, at $238,792. Friday's action saw 42 horses racing in the Rainbow 6, with a $1,988.88 payout to 20 winners. Extra Indy won race 6 at 14:1; the tough 2 year-old fillies race handicap on the day. Race 6 will start the Rainbow 6 wagering near 3:03 PM Saturday.

Bettors added $69,628 to the Rainbow wagering. 
Total all-sources track handle was $4.28 million Friday.

Gulfstream plans a 9 race Friday, with two carryovers on the race card. Post time will be 2:55 PM.

No stakes races are on the card. Last post will be near 7:22 PM.

The Rainbow 6 carryover is $222,085. Gulfstream is setting a guaranteed gross pool of $350,000 if a single winner is found. If multiple winners, the guaranteed pool does not apply, and the winners receive 56% of the betting pool; 20% is the track takeout, and 24% gets added to the carryover for the next race day.


The Rainbow 6 first leg gets underway in Race 4 at about 4:35 PM. In last Sunday's (7/31) racing, 7 winners hit the Rainbow 6 wager for $7,414.84 each. Forty-six entrants ran in the Rainbow races.

Race 10 was the long-shot win at just 8:1. Pharoah Cat won by 2-1/4 lengths. Favorite Bankers Hours ran 5th in the nine horse field.

The Super High 5 wager carrys over with $5,442. It should be run in race 1 Friday if 7 or more starters enter the gate.

All sources track handle was $5.60 million Sunday.
