Racing is back on the turf at Gulfstream Park on
Sunday.
The fourth, seventh, eighth and ninth races will be run
on turf as scheduled.
The tenth race and final race has been moved to the
dirt track, listed as good, and will be run at five furlongs. It was scheduled for
five furlongs on turf.
First post is 12:35 p.m. for the ten-race card.
That will follow a Saturday when Gulfstream, due to early
morning rain, moved all five scheduled-for-turf races to the dirt track that
was listed as sloppy and was sealed.
Two of the races moved to turf were among the six
stakes races on the Juvenile Showcase day, with all eleven races for
2-years-old.
Horses trained by Todd Pletcher won four of the six
stakes races.
Meanwhile, all-sources handle was a strong $9,441,934 despite
not having turf racing.
Later today and on Monday, we will have stories on
this Web site about his weekend’s racing and handle at Gulfstream.
