Many Young, New Faces Debut in TBD's 5th race

In the 2-year old maiden special weight race, 90% of the 10 entries made their first appearance at Tampa Bay Downs today.

The only returner was Mo Justice, the winner of the 1 1/16 mile turf race.  Mo Justice was ridden to victory by Anthony Crastus in with a 3 3/4 length victory over Youngest Daughter.  The 2-year old filly from the barn of Bill Justice clocked in at a time of 1:43.38.

Mo Justice came out the gate in eighth being bumped at start but fought its way up to sixth, then made a strong four wide run and pulled away towards the end. Youngest Daughter finished well, very steady throughout the race for second 2 1/2 length ahead of War Storm the third place finisher.

The total purse for the race was $22,500 and the total Win Place Show was $197,689.
