Bronze Venus Takes the First Race at Tampa

The first race of the day goes to Bronze Venus with a 2 1/2 length victory over Mo Town Kat with a running time of 1:19.71.

In the maiden claiming race for maidens, fillies, and mares 3-years-old and up, Bronze Venus displayed his skills since last appearing at Tampa Bay Downs on Opening Day.  The Chestnut filly broke out of the gate in fourth and stalked the pace moving up to second, rallied outside and drew clear.  He is trained by Charles R. Harvatt and owned by Charles Ciaio and Harold F Kenmnitz.

Mo Town Kat trained by Ian Hemingway and Edwin Gonzalez is the jockey.  Unfortunately no match to the winner finished 2 3/4 lengths ahead of Miss Adara, the third place finisher.

The total WPS pool was $58,218 and the charts are as follows:
#.             Win                Place              Show
