Some Horses to Consider in GP Tenth

Scheduled Post is 4:46  p.m. for the $60,000 Margate Stakes,  tenth and feature  race at Gulfstream.

It is seven furlongs on dirt for 3-year-old fillies that have never won a stakes race.

Banree, who is dropping down from graded stakes, likely will be favored.  If she had been racing at this level, she probably  would have had at least one win.

Banree has a stalking  style, and should get a clean trip  from post eight in the nine-horse field.

Here are three others to consider for the exacta box:

Sugar Cone (1) -- finished second behind future star Off the Tracks in a 6 1/2  furlong stakes called the Margate back in March.  She should be gaining at the end.  Joe Bravo  rides for trainer George "Rusty" Arnold.

Bodacious Babe (9) --  from the barn of high percentage  trainer Jane Cibelli.  This filly has stakes experience, speed and the clear outside post. Nik Juarez will ride.

Empyrea (3) -- Speedster won three in row,  two turf and one synthetic at Woodbine before  shipping in  and winning her  dirt preview for new trainer Angel  Medina.

Mo Green (7) -- also should be running late, with Paco Lopez riding for Joe Orseno.
