Gulfstream Park will have a Rainbow
6 carryover of $151,284 on Thursday.
First post will be 12:35 p.m. for
the ten-race card.
The Rainbow 6 will be on races five
through ten.
The first race will have a Super
Hi-5 carryover of $1,774.33. In Wednesday’s
10th and final race, there were no tickets with the first five
finishers in correct order--thus leading to the carryover.
The Rainbow 6 carryover is growing
because Wednesday was the ninth straight race day without the
“jackpot/carryover” payoff requirement of just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races.
“jackpot/carryover” payoff requirement of just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races.
On Wednesday, there were no tickets
with six winners. So. Gulfstream made its
non-jackpot payoff to holders of tickets with five winners. Each of those
tickets received $1,553.20.
Gulfstream pays out the
full jackpot (all of the carryover plus 80 percent of the day’s Rainbow 6 bet)
only on days when there is just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow
6 races.
The Rainbow 6 is a 20-cent per combination-only bet. Multiple horses can be used in each race, thus setting up a ticket with multiple 20 cent combinations. For example, a ticket with two horses in each race has 64 combinations and costs $12.80.
