Gulfstream Park had all-sources handle of $13,959,525
for twelve races on Saturday.
There were 120 starters, for an average of 10.0 per
race.
It was Gulfstream’s largest handle of its 2016-2017
championship meet that began on Dec. 3.
It also was the second straight Saturday on which Gulfstream led all
North American thoroughbred tracks in all-sources handle (total handle).
On Saturday Jan. 7, Gulfstream had $13,742,399 in
all-sources handle for eleven races.
Those races had 117 starters.
Our preliminary review of Equibase data indicates that
Gulfstream is ahead of its pace of its 2015-2016 championship meet when it set
its all-time record of $9.5 million in
daily average all-sources handle.
