Hall of Fame trainer Nick Zito will be seeking his 2,000th career win when he sends out Howlin Mad Smith in Friday's tenth and final race at Gulfstream Park on Thursday.
The race is a $12,500 maiden claimer at one mile on dirt for 4-year-olds and up. The purse is $18,000. Scheduled post is 5:02 p.m.
The field has eleven horses, following the scratches of Attack Zone and Morning Edition.
Nik Juarez will ride Howlin Mad Smith, who is 6-1 in the morning line.
Howlin Mad Smith has not hit the board in any of his seven starts. He is a 5-year-old gelded son of Unbridled's Song.
