Bob Bauer picked six winners in the eleven races at
Tampa Bay Downs on Saturday, his first day as handicapper for HorseRacingFLA.
Bob is a veteran handicapper, a former racing writer for
the St. Petersburg Times and a former publicist at Tampa Bay Downs.
Every Saturday, we publish Bob’s selections for Win,
Place and Show in each race at Tampa Bay Downs.
The selections can be found in the Handicapping section on the toolbar on the home page of
our Web site.
We are tracking his picks to win, assuming a $2 Win
bet in each race.
This past Saturday, Bob’s recommended $22 in bets
would have paid $26.80. That is a 22
percent return on investment.
Here are Bob’s winners for Saturday Jan. 21. Program numbers are in parentheses followed
by $2 win price.
First Race – Sonoma Crush (4) $2.60
Fourth Race – I Cat (10) $7.20
Fifth Race – Chesapeake Spring (11) $4.00
Ninth Race – R Angel Katelyn (7) $4.00
Tenth Race – Earring (4) $2.60
Tenth Race – Earring (4) $2.60
Eleventh Race – Tiz Samurai (5) $6.40
All six of
those winners were the favorites.
Starting this Saturday Jan. 28, HorseRacingFLA editor Jim Freer will handicap each
Saturday’s card at Gulfstream Park—with
Win, Place, Show picks on each race.
