Dale Bennett has been doing phenomenal lately entering today at 47% wins and today his 6-year old gelding Broncojoenvinny collected him yet another win in today's second claiming race.
Ridden by jockey of the month Pablo Morales, Broncojoenvinny is now 2 for 2 at Tampa Bay Downs after his first win on December 16. Just Kure before he set the pace and was very gamely throughout. He held strong onto the lead towards the end when challenged by Jersey Blue Giant, the second place finisher. Broncojoenvinny won by a 1/2 length with a 1:12.01 final time. The race was 6 furlongs ran on the dirt for 4-year olds and upward, and had a claiming price of $6,250.
Both of the top finishers were claimed . For Broncojoenvinny, his new trainer and owner is Miguel A. Feliciano, and for Jersey Blue Giant, his new trainer is Benny R. Feliciano and is newly owned by M C R Stables.
For Broncojoenvinny this is his second time being claimed, in the last race at Tampa Bay Downs he was claimed for 5,000 by Equiforce Inc. and Patrick Murphy from Kathryn and James T Wright. He was also previously trained by James Wright.
Travel Required was the third place finisher, one length ahead of Sky Commander the fourth place finisher.
