In the second and final stakes race on the program, the 4-year old Florida-bred colt demonstrated his skill and endurance in this one length victory over a favorite, Springmeier. He was four wide and battled with Springmeier entering the stretch, and prevailed late after a long stretch drive.
Sonoma Crush dueled inside early, chased and held on for third. Tiger Blood was ridden to victory by jockey Pablo Morales and is trained by Darien Rodriguez.
