Curlin's Approval Romps in Royal Delta

Curlin's Approval took the lead coming around the final turn and pulled away to beat Mo' Green by six lengths in Saturday's $200,000 Royal Delta Stakes (Grade 2) at Gulfstream Park.

Curlin's Approval, the 4-5 favorite, won in the modest time of 1:44.90 for 1 1/16 miles on the dirt track listed as fast.  However, it should be noted that jockey Luis Saez was hand-riding the 4-year-old filly in deep stretch.

Marty Wolfson trains Curlin's Approval for owner Happy Alter.

We will have a detailed  report on the Royal Delta this evening.
