Gulfstream: Saturday Guarantees and Carryovers

Gulfstream Park on Saturday will have a carryover of $13,009.31 on its Super Hi-5, which is scheduled for the first race.

It will be Gulfstream’s third straight day with a large overnight carryover in the Super Hi-5.

First post is 12:00 p.m. for the 12-race card.

On the Rainbow 6, the carryover is $55,554. It is on races seven through twelve.

Gulfstream will have guaranteed minimum pools on three late multi-race bets.  If any of the pools does not reach the minimum, Gulfstream will put in money to bring it to that level.

The guarantees:
Rainbow 6 (races 7 to 12) -- $200,000; this includes the $55.554 carryover; iy is a 20-cent only bet

Late Pick 5 (races 8 to 12) -- $200,000; it is a 50-cent minimum bet

Late Pick 4 (races 9 to 12) -- $300,000; it is a 50-cent minimum bet

Super Hi-5:

Gulfstream has the Super Hi-5 on all races with seven or more starters.

Saturday’s first race is 1 1/16 miles on turf for 3-year-old fillies, with a $48,000 purse and $75,000 optional claiming price.

The Super Hi-5 requires picking the first five finishers in correct order, with no consolation payoffs. It is a $1 minimum bet with a 17 percent takeout.

On Friday. There were no winning Super HI-5 tickets on either of the last two races,  Thus, there is the Saturday carryover.

On Friday, the Super Hi-5 carryover going in was $47,815.

Bettors added $273,112.  There were an undetermined number of winning tickets. The payoff was $5,660.10 for the $1 minimum bet.

On Thursday the carryover going in was $112,178. Bettors wagered $734,771—one of the highest totals ever on the Super Hi-5 at Gulfstream.

There were an undetermined number of winners. The payoff was $897.50 for the minimum $1 bet.
