Favorites Beaten in Three Gulfstream Stakes


Three of Gulfstream's Saturday stakes races have been run, and none were won by favorites.

Kitten's Cat, at 7-1, beat 32-1 shot Clyde's Image by a head in the $100,000 Kitten's Joy.  Made You Look, the 1-2 favorite, finished third in the one-mile turf race for 3-year-olds.

Kitten's Cat won in 1:36.41 on the course listed as firm.  Luis Saez rode for trainer Joe Sharp and owners Ken and Sarah Ramsey.

*Favorable Outcome, at 2-1, rallied to beat the 4-5 favorite Three Rules in the $200,000 Swale (Grade 2) for 3-year-olds.

Favorable Outcome won the seven-furlong dirt stakes in 1:23.03 on the track listed as fast.

Javier Castellano rode Favorable Outcome for trainer Chad Brown and owners Klarvich Stables and William Lawrence.

*The 14-1 shot Tequilita beat Pretty City Dancer by a half length in the $200,000 Forward Gal (Grade  2) at seven furlongs on dirt for 3-year-old fillies. 

The favored Ms. Locust Point finished third.

With Saez riding, Tequilita won in 1:24.36.  Michael Matz trains Tequilita for his wife Dorothy Alexander Matz.
