Big Sunday Carryovers at Both Florida Tracks

Tampa Bay Downs on Sunday has a carryover of  $26,280 on its Late Pick 5.

At Gulfstream Park on Sunday the carryover has grown to $572,495 on the Rainbow 6.

Tampa Bay
The Oldsmar track has a nine-race card with first post at 12:25 p.m.

The Pick 5 is on races five through nine, with the sequence beginning at 2:25 p.m.

It is a 50-cent minimum bet that pays out the day’s full pool (minus 15 percent takeout) only on days when there are tickets with the winners of all five races.

On other days, such as Saturday, there is a partial payout plus a carryover.

The Saturday sequence had winners at odds of 26-1, 40-1 and 13-1.  The pool was $41,263.

There were no tickets with more than three winners.  Each of those tickets received a consolation payout of  $224.60, on a 50-cent basis. Tampa Bay put the rest of the pool into a carryover.

Gulfstream
First post is 12:00 p.m. for a 12-race card.

The Rainbow 6 is on races seven through  12,  starting at 3:01 p.m.

The carryover is growing because Saturday was the 14th straight racing day without the jackpot/carryover payoff of just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races.

The Rainbow 6 is a 20-cent per combination-only bet. Multiple horses can be used in each race, thus setting up a ticket with multiple 20 cent combinations.  For example, a ticket with two horses in each race has 64 combinations and costs $12.80.
