Gulfstream
Park had all-sources handle of $19,775,702 on Saturday for a 12-race card that
included the $350,000 Holy Bull Stakes (Grade 2) for 3-year-olds.
For the
comparable Holy Bull Day card last year, on Jan. 26, Gulfstream had all-sources handle (total handle) of
$17,073,241 for 12 races.
On both days, the weather was clear
and no races were taken off the turf.

Saturday’s handle was the
second-largest for Gulfstream’s 2016-2017 championship meet that began Dec. 3.
On Saturday Jan, 28, which included
the inaugural $12 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational (Grade 1). Gulfstream
had all-sources handle of $40,217,924 for 12 races.
That was Gulfstream’s largest

and 1999.
Gulfstream’s second highest
non-Breeders’ Cup handle was $32,082,270 for 14 races on April 2, 2016—which included
the Florida Derby (Grade 1).
