They are the first legs of the Tampa Turf Test. It is an annual series of four races for males 3-years-old and up four races for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up.
All races in the series
are not claiming races. They are
restricted to horses that ran for a claiming price of $16,000 or less at least
once during 2015 or 2016.
Both races today are one-mile
with purses of $19,500.
The sixth race goes to
the males and the eighth race is strictly for the girls.
In the sixth race pay
attention to I’m the Lucky One, who
had three first place finishes in a row, one second and a fourth place finish
in his last five races.
Also take a look at Lighthouse
Sound who had two first place finishes, one second place, and one third
place finish in his last four races.
As for the eighth race, Sequiota might be familiar. She is most likely going to be a favorite
because she has four wins, a second and a third in eight turf races at Tampa
Bay Downs.
Awalkinthemoonlite
should put forth a good show having all top three finishes in her last six
races.
