That gave him 18 for the meet being
held at Calder and moved him into fifth
place in the standings.
Edgard Zayas leads with 42, and Luca Panici is second with 30.
Emisael Jaramillo and Tyler Gaffalione
are tied for third at 28.
On Saturday, Jaramillo and Zayas
rode at Laurel Park in Laurel, Md., and Gaffalione rode at
Delta Downs in Vinton, La., on major stakes days at those tracks.
Zayas was the only one of that group
who rode a winner. He was on board Sharp
Azteca in the $100,000 City of Laurel Stakes at seven furlongs on dirt for three-year-olds.
Zayas rode Sharp Azteca for trainer
Jorge Navarro whose winter base is Gulfstream Park, and owner Gelfenstein Farms,
which races year-round at GP West/Calder.
All five of the jockeys mentioned above are scheduled
to ride at GP West/Calder on Sunday.
