The Gulfstream Park West meet will have a Rainbow 6 carryover of $22,345 on Saturday.
First post is 12:00 p.m. for an 11-race card. The Rainbow 6 is on races six through eleven.
Gulfstream Park is holding the GP West meet at Calder under a lease with that track.
Gulfstream pays out the full Rainbow 6 jackpot (all of the carryover plus 80 percent of the day’s bet) only on days when there is just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 race winners.
Friday was the seventh straight race day without such a single winning ticket. Thus, the carryover continues to grow.
On Friday there were four tickets with all six winners. Each received $3,383.30.
The carryover coming in on Friday was $16,545.
Bettors added $24,172 to the pool. Of that, Gulfstream took out 20 percent. It then divided 56 percent among tickets with the most winners (in this case six winners) and added 24 percent to the carryover.
