The entries are out for this weekend’s
races at Tampa Bay Downs and at the Gulfstream Park West meet.
Tampa Bay announced on Tuesday that
it will have eleven races with a first post of 1:10 p.m. on its opening day on
Saturday. The Oldsmar track will then be dark until Wednesday Nov, 30.
On Friday, the Gulfstream Park West
meet will begin the final three days of its 2016 meet.
Gulfstream Park is holding the GP
West meet at Calder in Miami Gardens under a lease with that track.
At GP West, there will be eight
races on Friday and ten raees on both Saturday and Sunday. First post is 12:35 p.m.
The Saturday card has the final
three stakes races of the meet.
The $100,000 Tropical Turf (Grade 3) is 1 1/16 miles on turf for
3-year-olds and up,
The $100,000 My Charmer (Grade 3) is
1 1/16 miles on turf for fillies and mares three-years-old and up.
The $75,000 Gin Rummy Champ is five
furlongs on turf for three-year-olds and
up.
On Saturday Dec. 3 Gulfstream Park
in Hallandale Beach will begin its 2016-2017 championship meet.
Gulfstream will open with the
national claiming crown. There will be
eleven stakes races, all restricted to horses that have run in claiming
races below designated prices in 2015 or 2016.
