Daniel Centeno has ridden three winners through today's first seven races at Tampa Bay Downs.
That included the favorite Be Nice or Leave in the featured seventh race.
With two races left on the meet's second day, Centeno and Ronald Allen Jr. are tied with a meet-leading three wins each. Allen rode one winner on Saturday's opening day card, and has two thus far today.
On Saturday, Centeno rode at Aqueduct in Ozone Park, N.Y. His day included second place finishes aboard Divining Rod in the Cigar Mile (Grade 1) for 3-year-olds and up and aboard No Dozing in the Remsen (Grade 2) for 2-year-olds.
Both of those horses are trained by Arnaud Delacour, a Tampa Bay regular, and owned by Lael Stables.
Centeno finished second and Allen finished third in wins among Tampa Bay jockeys.
Antonio Gallardo, who led Tampa Bay jockeys in victories each of the last three seasons, is riding at Aqueduct this winter.
That makes it likely that Centeno and Allen will battle for the riding title this winter at Oldsmar, Fernando De La Cruz and Jose Ferrer could be right behind them.
