Still Soppy at Calder/GP West

The rain is gone from Calder, but it appears the track will be listed as sloppy through theten races.

Pools have held up well, even with seven-horse fields, in the  fifth and sixth races.

Fifth race --Arella Princess edged Formal Class in the six-furlong feature for fillies and mares  3-YO  and up.  We will have more on this race late today.

Total wagering, including the start of  multi-race bets, was $465,657.  Bettors added $22,567 to the Rainbow 6.

Sixth race -- What Power led at every call to  win the one-mile off-the-turf race.

Total wagering was $349,465.  That  included $20,132 on the  Late  Pick 5.
