Gulfstream Rainbow 6 Passes $11,000

Here’s what is current on the Rainbow 6 at the Gulfstream Park West meet:

*The carryover for Sunday is $11,189. That is up from the $7,400 carryover for Saturday.

The Sunday card has ten races with first post at 1:15 p.m. The 20-cent only Rainbow 6 is on races five to ten.

*On Saturday there were two tickets with the winners in all six Rainbow 6 races. Each paid $4,421.26.

Because of the multiple winning tickets, the carryover is now heading into its fourth day.

Gulfstream pays out the full Rainbow 6 jackpot (all of the carryover plus 80 percent of the day’s bet) only on days when there is just one ticket with all six winners.

On Saturday, bettors added $15,791 to the pool.  Of that, Gulfstream took out 20 percent. It then divided 56 percent among tickets with the most winners (in this case six winners) and added 24 percent to the carryover.

*On Sunday’s first race, there is a carryover of $1,854.39 on the Super Hi-5. It is a $1 minimum bet that requires picking the first five finishers of a race in correct order. There are no consolation payoffs.
