GP West Has Ten-Race Monday Card

The Gulfstream Park West meet has ten races on Monday with first post of 1:15 p.m.

The GP West meet is being run at Calder Casino in Miami Gardens, under sponsorship of Gulfstream Park.

Mondays are generally dark for the GP West meet. Today’s card, to commemorate Columbus Day, was part of the original schedule.

The Monday card has a Late Pick 5 carryover of $12,982.01 and a Rainbow 6 carryover of $3,949.67.

The 20-cent only Rainbow 6 will be on races five through ten. The 50-cent minimum Late Pick 5 will be on races six through ten.

*Sublime Appeal caught Kokomo Wildcat in the final strides and won by a head in Sunday’s eighth and feature race.

It was a $30,000 allowance at 7 ½ furlongs on turf for Florida-breds 3-years-old and up.

Sublime Appeal won in 1:31.35 on the course listed as firm.  Jacinto Herrera rode Sublime Appeal for trainer Juan Rizo.

*On Wednesday, GP West will resume its regular Wednesday through Sunday schedule.

The Wednesday card will have eight races with first post of 1:15 p.m.
