Emisael Jaramillo rode three winners on Thursday’s
nine-race card at Gulfstream Park.
Jaramillo’s winners and odds were Too Clever by Half
(4-5) in the first race, Shaft of Light (3-5) in the seventh race and Hyatt’s
Dude (5-1) in the ninth race.
He has 12 victories through the first 12 days of
Gulfstream’s spring meet and is tied with Edgard Zayas for the lead in the
jockey standings. Eddie Castro and Nik Juarez have 11 each and are tied for
third place. Tyler Gaffalione is in fifth place with ten victories.
Jaramillo was one of the leading riders in Venezuela
before he relocated to Gulfstream last year. He finished fourth with 56 wins in
Gulfstream’s 2015-2016 championship meet.
Jorge Navarro trains Too Clever by Half and Shaft of
Light. Michelle Nihei trains Hyatt’s
Dude.
Navarro leads the spring meet with six wins, followed
by Jason Servis with five.
