Ditka, trained by Eoin Harty, was ridden by Ronald Allen Jr. and won the 6 1/2 furlong dirt race in 1:17.94. It was a $23,000 maiden special weight for 3-year-olds.
Game Lad finished fourth for trainer Kathleen O'Connell. That left her still holding on 1,799 career wins.
O'Connell's next starter will be Spanish Concert in Thursday's seventh race at Gulfstream Park.
