No Turf Racing at GP West on Mandatory 6 Payout Saturday

Because of this morning's rain, all four scheduled-for-turf races have been moved to the dirt, listed as Sloppy, today (Saturday) at the Gulfstream Park West meet.

Those are the first, third, fifth and seventh races.

The Rainbow 6, with a mandatory payout, starts on the fourth race with scheduled post of 1:34 p.m.

Th GP West meet is sponsored by Gulfstream Park, and is run at Calder in Miami Gardens.

The carryover, which will all be paid out, is $111,271.

Gulfstream had projected that as much as $500,000 would be bet on the Rainbow 6 today. That total could be smaller because of wet conditions, surface changes and scratches.

This link to the Equibase Web site has today's GP West entries with scratches and other changes.  There are ckick-ons to obtain handicapping material--some free ad some at cost.

We will have coverage on this blog.
