The Gulfstream Park West meet has a 10-race card scheduled for Saturday, with first post at 12:00 p.m.
The only carryover is $29,307 on the Rainbow 6. The 20 cent per combination-only bet is on races five to ten. Gulfstream is guaranteeing that the Rainbow 6 pool will be at least $100,000 if there is just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races.
The second, fifth and eighth races on Saturday are scheduled for turf.
Saturday is the 16th day of the GP West meet, run at Calder in Miami Gardens, Fla.
Friday was the third day in a row and the eleventh in fifteen days overall on which meet sponsor Gulfstream Park took at least one race off the turf due to rain or other wet conditions.
As of 10:00 a.m. skies are partly cloudy in the areas near Calder.
The Weather Channel forecast is for the chance of rain to range between 50 percent and 100 percent during the afternoon.
We will have updates, including scratches, beginning later this morning on this blog.
