Galit Jak (3), the 6-5 favorite, won Gulfstream's fourth race to start the Sunday Rainbow 6,
The Rainbow 6 carryover coming in was $171,219. Bettors added $97,007 to the pool. That comes to just under $270,000.
Gulfstream had guaranteed that the jackpot pool would be at least $275,000 if there is just one ticket all six winning horses. So, Gulfstream will need to put in about $5,000 if one ticket takes down the jackpot.
This is the 12th day of the GP West meet, run at Calder.
Thus far, each day has had multiple winning tickets in the Rainbow 6. On those days Gulfstream takes out 20 percent of the day's Rainbow 6 bet. It then divides 56 percent among tickets with six winners and adds 24 percent to the carryover.
