GP West Off the Turf for Saturday

Due to rains earlier in the day, there is no  turf racing (Saturday) at the Gulfstream Park West meet, at Calder in Miami Gardens, Fla.

Post of 1:10 p.m. is approaching for the third of nine races, under skies that are clear for now.

Of remaining races the fourth, sixth and eighth have been moved to the dirt track that is listed as Sloppy.

The carryover on the Rainbow 6  is $52,404.  The 20 cent per combination-only bet will be on races four to nine with the sequence scheduled to start at 1:44  p.m.

This link  to the Gulfstream Park Web site has the entries for Saturday--including scratches and other changes.  It has click-ons for handicapping material--some  for freed snd  some at cost.

Per its normal schedule the GP West meet, held at Calder, will have racing on Sunday. It will have a special holiday race card on Monday, which is Columbus Day.

First post will be 12:00 p.m. for nine races on Sunday and on Monday.

*The GP West meet is closed to spectators and does not have any live betting on site.

At its track in Hallandale Beach, Gulfstream has its north tent area open on GP West race days for simulcast betting on those races and on other tracks that are part of its regular simulcast menu.

Betting on Gulfstream West races may be done on most Advance Deposit Wagering (ADW) Internet and phone services. Many sports books, race tracks and OTB offices have simulcasting on GP West races.

Tampa Bay Downs, Hialeah Park and Pompano Park are among Florida pari-mutuels that carry the GP West simulcast schedule.
