The word around Gulfstream Park is that jockey Tyler Gaffalione is in Tennessee, joining other family members in visiting his sister who was injured in an auto accident early this week.
Gaffalione did not ride any of his listed mounts at Gulfstream on Thursday or on Friday.
Gaffalione's sister reportedly was driving a car that was hit by a drunk driver. She reportedly is in stable condition.
Gaffalione is scheduled to resume riding at Gulfstream on Sunday. He has mounts in nine races on the 11-race card.
Gaffalione leads the Gulfstream summer meet with 34 wins through its first 18 days.
