GP Rainbow 6 Carryover Reaches $217,246
Gulfstream Park will have a carryover of $217,246.19 on its Rainbow 6 on Friday.
There will be no carryover on Friday on the Late Pick 5.
First post is 1:15 p.m. for the ten-race card.
The Rainbow 6 carryover continues because Thursday was the 15th straight day without the carryover/jackpot payoff requirement of just one ticket with the winners of all six Rainbow 6 races.
On Thursday there were 18 tickets with all six winners. Each received $2,595.74.
The carryover coming in was $197,499.98 on the Rainbow 6. Bettors added $82,298 to the pool.
Gulfstream took out 20 percent of the day's Rainbow 6 bet. It divided 56 percent among tickets with six winners and put 24 percent into the carryover.
The Rainbow 6 is a 20-cent per combination only bet, Bettors can use multiple horses in each race and thus have multiple combinations.
Late Pick 5
On Thursday there was a carryover of $27,149 on the Late Pick 5--a result of there being no tickets with all five winners on Sunday.
That was incentive for bettors to add $134,295 to the pool. On most days, the Late Pick 5 pool is $50,000 or less.
On Thursday, there were multiple tickets with all five winners.
The payoff was $1,999.60 on the minimum 50 cent bet. The four-of-five payoff was $21.00 on a 50 cent bet.
Three of the Rainbow 6 winners were at 2-1 or lower. The others were at 7-1, 8-1 and 9-1.
