If you have a winning ticket in today's Late Pick 5 at Gulfstream, it should be a multi-thousand dollar payoff even if there are multiple tickets with the winners of all five races.
There was a carryover of $27,149 going into today's sequence, starting with the sixth race.
That was incentive for bettors to add $134,295 on Thursday.
On the four race days from last Thursday through Sunday, the average daily Late Pick 5 pool was $42,682.
Minus the 15 percent takeout on today's bet, there will be about $150,000 to divide on Pick 5 tickets.
In addition to the main payoff, there is a consolation payoff for tickets with four of five winners.
On Sunday, the most recent Gulfstream race day, there were no tickets with all five winners. Thus. there was a rare carryover going into Thursday.
Dreams Cut Short won Thursday's sixth race, a one-mile optional claimer on turf.
