We have hit the
exacta each year in the Kentucky Derby and in the Preakness
The Preakness will be run on May 21 at Pimlico in
Baltimore. In our previews we will focus on the Preakness prospects of horses
that raced in Florida this year.
We will publish our predictions the morning of race
day, May 21.
In Saturday’s Kentucky Derby, the order of finish was
Nyquist, Exaggerator, Gunrunner. Mohaymen and Suddenbreakingnews.
Our prediction was Exaggerator, Nyquist, Brody’s
Cause, Mohaymen and Suddenbreakingnews.
Brody’s Cause, who came in seventh, was our only
selection who did not live up to our expectations.
We hedged with our picks by having Nyquist and
Exaggerator both in the first and second spots in exactas and trifectas.
Our strategy is to use small denomination exactas and
trifectas, combining horses we think have the best chances to win with
longer-shots that we think could
fill out the exacta or tri for a price.
Our winning
bets on Saturday were:
*$3 Win and Show
Nyquist $15.30
*$3 Show Exaggerator $5.40
*$1 Exacta
Box $15.60
*$1 Exacta Part
Wheel $15.60
*50 cent tri
part wheel $43.35
Thank you for your accurate predictions again this year Jim;enjoying following your blog and website.
