Gulfstream Park has a carryover Wednesday of $14,330.75 on its rolling Super Hi
5, a $1 minimum bet that requires picking a race’s first five finishers in correct order.
That bet
will not be offered until the third race, with scheduled post of 2:17 p.m.
As of 11:00
a.m. that is the day’s first race that can meet the minimum Super Hi-5
requirement of at least seven starters.
The first
race, post at 1:15 p.m., had seven entrants. Two of them, Great Aztec (post 5)
and Amache (post 6) were scratched.
The second
race has just six entrants. It is the day’s feature, a $35,000 optional claimer
at 7 ½ furlongs on turf for 3-YOs and up.
The purse is $44,000.
The third race
is a $55.000 maiden special weight at 4 ½ furlongs on dirt for 2-YO fillies. It has seven entrants and as of 12:15 p.m all are scheduled to start.
If there are
no winning Super Hi-5 tickets on that race the pool (minus 18 percent takeout) and
the carryover will roll over to the fifth race. There are no consolation
payoffs, such as four-of-five, on the
Super Hi-5.
