Racing is back on the turf today at Gulfstream Park, and the condition of the course is listed as good.
The main track is listed as fast for the nine-race card that has first post of 1:15 p.m. Five races are scheduled for turf. There is a zero percent chance of rain in the forecast.
The feature third race is a $62,500 allowance/optional claimer at six furlongs on dirt. The purse is $44,000.
Gryvon is the likely favorite in the five-horse field. He is coming off a second place finish at seven furlongs on dirt in an optional claimer at Gulfstream on April 3.
He also will attract attention because his trainer Jorge Navarro and jockey Emisael Jaramilllo are the leaders in wins at the Gulfstream srinh meet.
Singanothersong also could rate a close look. He is a multiple winner of dirt stakes in South Florida.
On April 20, he was the late-running winner of a five-furlong turf optional claimer at Gulfstream. Leonel Reyes has the return ride for trainer Ron Pellegrini.
