There were no tickets with all six winners in the Rainbow 6 at Gulfstream Park on Wednesday.
So, Gulfstream divided the day's payout among tickets with five of six winners. Each received $271.98. By our estimate there were 64 such tickets.
There will be a carryover of $7,422 on Thursday, on races three through eight. First post is 1:15 p.m. for the eight-race card.
No tickets had all six winners largely because Cowboy's Princess at 22-1 won the fourth race, first leg of the sequence. All of the other Rainbow 6 winners were 4-1 or lower.
There was a new Rainbow 6 pool, following a mandatory payout on Sunday.
Bettors wagered $31,0222 on the Rainbow 6. Gulfstream took out 20 percent, divided 56 percent among tickets with five winners and started a carryover with the other 24 percent.
*Grand Isle beat Persuasive by a length in the feature eighth race at 1 1/16 miles on turf. It was a $25,000 allowance/optional claimer with a $43,000 purse for 3-year-olds.
Grand Isle rallied from seventh place after three-quarters of mile and won in the fast time of 1:39.59 on the course listed as firm. Luca Panici rode Grand Isle for trainer Leo Gabriel Jr.
