Gulfstream Park and Tampa Bay Downs will conduct live horse racing on Wednesday at their respective venues.
Gulfstream
will have a first post time of 12:35 PM, and
Tampa Bay will start off
at 12:25 PM with 10 races and 95 starters listed.
Gulfstream
Park will run it’s 29th day of racing on this meet which began on
December 1st. Five turf races are planned with 59 entrants in the last 6
races.
On the last day of racing, Sunday, the Champions Meet ran 11 races at Gulfstream Park.
The late multi-race wagers paid decently, as a couple of 6:1 and 7:1 odds winners emerged in races 9 and 10.
Four favorites won the last 6 races.
The
late Pick 4 paid $382, while the late Pick 5 paid $1,919.
The Rainbow
6, which was hit with a jackpot win on Friday, Jan. 4th, entered its
second day of wagering Sunday. The pool was $197,851 and the payoff was
$2,883 to 38 lucky patrons. The sole carryover Wednesday will the
Rainbow 6 at $88,036.
The
pools and general wagering handle at Gulfstream Park are running ahead
of the 2017-18 comparable meet total. We will have a story on that soon.
