In Thursday’s action, 85 starters ran for $361,000 in purse money under clear/fast track conditions.
Four favorites entered the winners circle. In the 8th race, Our Pride at 19:1, beat Juniper Avenue (12:1), by 1-1/4 to win the one-mile dirt contest. The favorite, St. Michael, finished 4th.
That win led to some nice payouts for the Pick 4, 5 and Rainbow 6, as race 7 was including in those late races.
Pick-4 paid $1,418.30 Pick-5 paid $3,134.70 Rainbow 6 paid $6,886 to 15 winners, leading to a carryover of $201,965 for today; the sole carryover.
The Rainbow 6 carryover will be run starting in race 5 today, with the sequence scheduled to start at 2:37 p.m.
