Pletcher-Trained Tatweej Heads Field in GP Feature

Scheduled post is 4:48 p.m. for Saturday's 10th and featured race at Gulfstream Park.

It is an allowance/optional claimer for 3-YO and up at one mile on the dirt track that is listed as Good. The claiming price is $25,000 and the purse is $47,000.

The 4-year-old Tatweej is the likely favorite, following a third place finish and a win at one mile in his  first two starts--both at Gulfstream.

The Todd Pletcher-trained son of Tapit set a pressured pace before drawing off to score by 3 ¾ lengths in a July 25 maiden special weight race at a mile on a track listed as Fast.

Edgard Zayas has the return mount on Tatweej, who could be controlling speed in the five-horse field.  It originally included Colour Guard, who has been scratched.

Tatweej was bought for $2.5 million by Alshareef Hazzaa Shaker Alabdali at the 2017 Keeneland September Sale.

Hard Lightning and Glory of Florida could be late-running win threats if Tatweej falters. Both have wins this year at Gulfstream in one  mile races with the  track listed as Sloppy.

Glory of Florida is the only horse in for a tag.
