Gulfstream's eleven-race card is underway, with14-1 Troya rallying along the rail to beat 2-5 favorite Zip's Legacy at 1 1/16 miles on turf. The race was a $12,500 maiden claimer for fillies and mares 3-YO and up.
While Zip's Legacy did not hold on for a win, her effort was another case of this weekend's trend of speed holding up well in many turf races.
Races seven, nine and eleven are scheduled for the turf, listed as firm, with the rail at 115 feet.
Scheduled post for the ninth and feature race
