Recap of Tampa 9th

My Brown Eyed Guy, our horse to watch, started slowly and finished sixth in a 12-horse field in the ninth at Tampa.

Fortunately, we just watched and did not have a wager.

Grosero, at 3-1, won the seventh at six furlongs on dirt in 1:10.67--a good time in a $5,000 claiming race.  Ademar Santos rode for trainer Robert Raymond.

We always have an interest when we see a horse such as My Brown Eyed Guy that made early noise at Calder and winds up moving around the country and racing in claimers.

As we remember, this was a case of other Calder-stabled juveniles getting better as the races got longer.

In the Stallion Stakes races, Kathleen O'Connell trained My Brown Eyed Guy.

In the Stallion Stakes 2013 fillies division, Scandalous  Act  swept the three races for Campbell and O'Connell.
