Gulfstream Super Hi 5 Pays $377.00
There were multiple winning tickets in the Super Hi 5 in Gulfstream's first race today, with each paying $377.00.
There was a carryover of $20,111.02 because there were no winning tickets (all five places in order) on the bet in Sunday's 12th and final race.
Bettors added $154,594 to the pool--attracted by chances in the field with just seven horses.
Good Genes, at 2-1, won the maiden special weight at seven furlongs on dirt for Florida-bred 3-year-olds. He is trained by Stanley Gold and was ridden by Jose Caraballo.
A new pool began in the second race for the Super Hi 5, on which there are no consolation payoffs.
The order of finish in the first race was:
7 -- Good Genes (2-1)
1 -- Blind Ruckus (6-1)
8 -- Jack West (6-1)
2 -- Unintimidated (4-5)
3 -- Cotton Colors (21-1)
