Early Entry won today's third race at Keeneland for trainer Kathleen O'Connell and jockey Paco Lopez--both known for their success in Florida.
O'Connell will send out the 3-year-old Lady Shipman in Saturday's $1 million Breeders' Cup Turf Sprint. Lady Shipman will be among the favorites in a full field of 14 where all the other runners are males.
Lopez has five stakes mounts over the next two days at Keeneland starting with Encryption in the fifth race with post at 2;48.
Today's win for Early Entry, a 4-tear-old son of Keyed Entry, wns at seven furlongs in a $62,500 optional claimer with a $75,000 purse
At that distance early this year he won once at Gulfstream Park and once at Tampa Bay Downs
