HorseracingFLA Staff Report

At the Gulfstream Park West meet this afternoon, there will be ten live races and simulcasts of the day’s four Breeders’ Cup races at Keeneland in Lexington, Ky.

Today’s race of highest interest for  fans in Florida could  be the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile.  Likely  favorite  Liam’s  Map  and contenders Lea,  Valid , Wicked Strong and  Barbados all  raced at Gulfstream  park during the past  12 months

(Note– in the photo in the preview for this story,  Liam’s  Map is  shown  winning the 2014 Harlan’s Holiday at Gulfstream Park.

We will have coverage of GP West and the Breeders’ Cup this afternoon on this Web site and on our blog http://insidefloridahorseracing.blogspot.com/

Our focus in the Breeders’ Cup races will be on horses that are stabled year-round in Florida and/or have raced at Gulfstream Park or at Tampa Bay Downs.

Early this afternoon on our blog, we will have previews and analysis of three of this today’s races.

Our focus will include these 2015 Gulfstream stakes winners: favored Liam’s Map and contender Valid in the Dirt Mile; longshot Andreya’s Reward in the Juvenile Fillies Turf; and contender Sheer Drama in the Distaff.
