At the Gulfstream Park West meet this afternoon, there will be ten live races and simulcasts of the day’s four Breeders’ Cup races at Keeneland in Lexington, Ky.
Today’s race of highest interest for fans in Florida could be the $1 million Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile. Likely favorite Liam’s Map and contenders Lea, Valid , Wicked Strong and Barbados all raced at Gulfstream park during the past 12 months

Gulfstream Park is holding the GP West meet at Calder Casino & Race Course under a lease arrangement with that track.

Our focus in the Breeders’ Cup races will be on horses that are stabled year-round in Florida and/or have raced at Gulfstream Park or at Tampa Bay Downs.
Early this afternoon on our blog, we will have previews and analysis of three of this today’s races.
Our focus will include these 2015 Gulfstream stakes winners: favored Liam’s Map and contender Valid in the Dirt Mile; longshot Andreya’s Reward in the Juvenile Fillies Turf; and contender Sheer Drama in the Distaff.
The Breeders’ Cup races are today and tomorrow (Friday) at Keeneland in Lexington, Ky. There will be four Breeders’ Cup races today, starting at 3:30 p.m. with the Juvenile Turf, and nine Breeders’ Cup races tomorrow (Saturday).
GP West will have simulcast betting on all ten of today’s Keeneland races, including the Breeders’ Cup races.
Gulfstream and Tampa Bay Downs will have simulcasts and wagering on all of today’s GP West races and Keeneland races.
The three Florida locations also will have advance wagering on Saturday’s nine Breeders’ Cup races.
Here is the schedule for today’s Breeders’ Cup races All four races are Grade 1.
* 3:30 p.m.– $1 million Juvenile Turf, one mile,
It is the only Breeders’ Cup race without at least one horse that has raced in Florida.
* 4;10 p.m.–$1 million Dirt Mile, 3-year-olds and up
* 4:50 p.m. — $1 million Fillies Juvenile turf, one mile
* 5:35 p.m.–Distaff, 1 1/8 miles on dirt, fillies and mares 3-years-old and up
