Big Payoffs Looming at Gulfstream

With one race left at Gulfstream, there could be some big payoffs looming in the Rainbow 6 and Super Hi-5.

If  you are not alive, the tenth race has a ten-horse field, which like often in a last race at Gulfstream could produce some upsets. It is a $20,000 maiden claimer at one mile on turf for fillies and mares 3-years-old and up.

We like Queen of Gems, 12-1 in the morning line, along with August Lilly and Strayana in an exaxta box.

In several minutes, we'll have news on the number of live tickets in the Rainbow 6, and on the payoffs pending on that bet and the Late Pick 5,

For now:
*The favored Scam won the ninth race.  But there were two good earlier prices.

*Give to U. K. Cats, at 9-1, won the eighth race
* Winners of races five through seven were at 2-1, 2-1 and 7-1 respectively.

The eighth race Pick 3 paid $239.20 for $1, with Give to U. K. Cats completing it.

The carryover coming in was $197,499.98 on the Rainbow 6.  Bettors added $82,298 to the pool.'

There was a carryover of $27,149 going into the Super Hi-5, starting with the sixth race. That was incentive for bettors to add
 $134,295 to the pool.
