Tampa Bay Downs has a nine-race card on Friday, with first post scheduled for 3:17 PM.
A full field of three year-olds and up will go a grassy mile and one-sixteenth in Race 7, under $16,000 NW2L Claiming conditions. Scheduled Post time is 3:17 PM. RadioStPete online live coverage including legendary race caller Richard Grunder starts at 3:15.
FLEETRIDGE (8) is kind of runner to favor in this situation. He is the only one here dropping into a condition Claiming race for the first time. All the others have tried this condition several times without success, or are moving up after a Maiden win. This son of GHOSTZAPPER has had one try on turf with $32,00 Optional Claiming foes, today he faces $16,000 company. Gets first Lasix and should be a decent price at 4/1 on the Morning line.
